What Flip is
Flip photographs a cosmetic or personal-care product, reads its ingredients, and explains what is in it — a score, the ingredients worth knowing about, and better alternatives. Using it means you accept these terms. You need to be 18 or over.
What Flip is not
Flip is for general interest only. It is not medical, safety or professional advice, and it never declares a product unsafe — it describes what is documented about ingredients and lets you judge. Analyses are produced by an AI reading a photograph: they depend on the quality of the photo and can contain mistakes. Check the label itself before acting on anything that matters to you, especially allergies.
The unlock
Your first scan is free. After that, unlimited scans cost £4.99 — once, for good, with no subscription and nothing recurring. The unlock is tied to your account and works on any device you sign in on. Payment is processed by Stripe. If something goes wrong with a payment — you paid and didn't get the unlock — email us and we will put it right or refund you.
Links to retailers
The alternatives on a results screen link to retailers, and those links may earn us a commission. This never affects which products we recommend — ranking is not for sale.
Fair use
Don't photograph people, don't upload anything unlawful, and don't script or bulk-drive the service. We can refuse analyses and suspend access that abuses the service or the people running it.
The boring but honest part
We work to keep Flip fast and available, but it is provided as-is and we can't promise it will always be up. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
